Roller Coasters, Canyons & Caves

Every year when fall comes around I get excited for the leaves to change colors. I have always loved fall for the beauty it has to offer and every year I enjoy it for the short time that it lasts.  This year when September hit, I really wanted to go to Logan Canyon to see the fall leaves.  For those of you who have never been to Logan Canyon, it is in Utah and during the fall, the colors on the trees are unreal! I am constantly looking at pictures that other photographers have taken and I love how colorful the trees get.

After talking Kendall into a short weekend adventure, we booked an Airbnb, packed our bags and headed to Utah! When we got there, we spent our first day hiking a trail that took us to the wind cave tunnels that overlooked the whole canyon. It was so beautiful and definitely worth the hike!ย  Below are some pictures from our hiking adventure. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m jumping for joy here because I really do enjoy fall and hiking.  It’s a good combination. ๐Ÿ™‚

Kendall and his goofy faces are life! I need to do a photo series someday where I capture all of his goofy faces and share them on here. I think it would be fun because he really is talented at making funny faces.

Here is a picture of the wind cave tunnels that we hiked up to! They overlooked the whole canyon. I highly recommend doing this hike if you are ever in Logan, Utah.

There wasn’t a ton of color near the bottom of the canyon, but the higher up we hiked, the more color we found.

The second day we ended up going to Lagoon, an amusement park in Utah.ย  I, of course, have to get my roller coaster fix in every time we go! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I don’t know about you guys, but every time I am on a roller coaster, I think I end up laughing more than screaming.ย  I definitely do scream though, especially when it’s a huge drop-off.

Besides enjoying the rides, we ended up walking around the park looking at all of the Halloween decorations. This was our second year going during frightmares, which basically is when the park decorates for Halloween, has haunted houses and puts on a few “scary” shows. It’s always fun to walk around and look at everything and grab some food.ย  This year, I tried a pineapple dole whip because one of my friends recommended itย and I do have to say, it was delicious! It was also dairy-free so it was a win-win! ๐Ÿ™‚

This trip was short but SO worth it.  Something I’m always mentioning to Kendall is, that sometimes it’s not about going on a big, fancy trip.  Sometimes it’s just as nice to take a couple of days, get out of town, try a new restaurant and explore a new place, whether near or far!

Okay, that is all! Thank you for reading, I hope you have a great week. Let me know in the comments where you like to go for a weekend getaway. ๐Ÿ™‚
