The Monarch Butterfly

These photos are from a wedding that Kendall and I shot a couple of weeks ago. I had to share these in a separate post because I thought that it was too perfect how these kids interacted with this monarch butterfly. The little girl in the dress, with the pearl belt, found the butterfly and it stayed on her finger for over an hour! When we tried to let it go it didn’t want to leave. I thought it was so crazy! I’ve never had a butterfly do that before. It didn’t look like it was injured or anything, it just was a friendly butterfly. 🙂

I still can’t get over how cute these kids were. They kept passing around the butterfly and they were being so careful while doing so.

This little boy’s face is priceless! He was pretty impressed with the butterfly. I mean, I was too so he wasn’t the only one! haha.

This is the sweet girl that found the butterfly. She tapped me on the shoulder during the reception to let me know that she had found the perfect spot for me to take a photo of the butterfly! I thought that it was so sweet that she was thinking of different photo opportunities, she’s a little photographer in the making. 😉

This is the spot the little girl wanted me to take a photo. I think she picked a pretty great spot!

All in all, this was such a fun opportunity to be able to capture! It’s not every day that you get to photograph kids holding a monarch butterfly. 😉

Thanks for reading and looking through the photos! 🙂
