You Brought Me, Joy! An Engagement Session

Over the weekend, Kendall and I had the opportunity to take engagement photos for Joy and Terry! The first time I met them, was the day of the shoot and I have to say, after a few minutes of talking with them, I felt like I had known them for years! They were so fun and their smiles were contagious.

Our first location was a farmer’s market. I just love all things fall and it was so fun to get a few pictures of them with apples, pumpkins and corn stalks. I also have to note, we got extremely lucky because the weather was perfect on Sunday, we really couldn’t have asked for a better day in October.

Below are some of the pictures we got at the farmer’s market!

I was so lucky to be able to shoot these two.  They really did make it easy.  They were laughing and having fun the whole shoot! 🙂

I always have to get a shot of the ring! I also like showcasing the nails too. 😉

There was no shortage of laughter during this shoot. They were naturals in front of the camera. 🙂

The second Location still had some fall color on the trees and bushes, so this might have been my favorite location of the day!

I love the sign they brought with them. I thought it made for the perfect photo prop!

The third location wasn’t planned, but Joy was telling me the story of how they met in Fred Meyer’s and well let’s just say… we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a couple of shots in the store. 😉

The last location was in the canyon.  The sun was slipping away at this point, so we hurried down into the canyon and got a few pictures right before the sunset. It was gorgeous!

This was my favorite photo from the whole shoot!

After we ended the shoot,  we ended up talking outside in front of our cars for a while about a more detailed version of their story and how they met.  I won’t tell the detailed story but the short and condensed version is,  that God brought Terry,  Joy and the rest is history! 🙂

This engagement shoot had to be one of my favorite shoots because of the weather, the fall colors, the laughter, and the stories. I cannot wait to take their wedding photos in December! I just know it’s going to be a beautiful day filled with lots of laughter, smiles, and joy!

Thank you for reading and looking through the photos! Let me know in the comments below if you have a favorite photo from this session, I would love to know. 🙂
