Kendall’s Graduation+Oregon Coast Trip!

Kendall graduated over the weekend! First off, I just want to say how proud of him I am! He worked so hard.  He was going to school full-time (all online), working full-time, helping out at our church and working on a school internship all at the same time. It got a little crazy there for awhile! But he did it! He graduated! We made a trip out of his graduation because it was close to the Oregon coast and of course, we had to do some celebrating!

Now for the picture overload!

The first few days of our trip we were in Portland visiting Kendall’s dad in the hospital. One of the days we walked around a few neighborhoods and went to go grab some food! The picture above was taken while walking around exploring downtown Portland.

Our next stop was Seaside, Oregon.

We took this trip the end of April, beginning of May so everything was in full bloom. It was so fun to see all of the colorful trees and flowers. These cherry tree blossoms were my favorite.

Typical Kendall being a goofball! I sure do love him, he keeps me laughing. 🙂

My best friend and travel buddy! We both always have so much fun traveling and exploring new places.

This Sandwich was so good! It was from a place called Seaside Coffee Roasters, I would link their website but they sadly don’t have one. I still wanted to share though, because we went there three times! We got coffee and smoothies each morning and we ended up eating there once and everything was so good! Definitely worth checking out if you are ever in Seaside, Oregon.

One of the days we went to Astoria. Pictured above is the Astoria Column. After walking all the way to the top, I realized how out of shape I was! haha.

Such a beautiful lookout in Astoria. Everything was so green!

Our next stop was Cannon Beach! The day we went to Cannon Beach was so beautiful. The weather was perfect and it was sunny all day! We really couldn’t have asked for a better day.

We grabbed ice cream one of the days because it is now a little tradition we do while we travel! Kendall always gets a cone and I always get a bowl. I don’t trust myself with a cone because I am way too messy. I know for a fact it would either end up on my shirt or the floor. haha

The last day in Seaside, we borrowed a couple of bikes from our hotel and rode them along the beach. This had to be my favorite day of the whole trip!

We went to a restaurant called Tora Sushi Lounge. It had some of the best Sushi. As you can see from the picture, the rolls were huge. Kendall and I had no trouble finishing all of this sushi though, it was so good! 🙂

The last two stops of the trip were Mossyrock, Washington and Kirkland Washington. Kendall grew up in Mossyrock, WA so it is always been fun to go back and visit. He took me to a tulip field because he knew I would love seeing all of the flowers in bloom and he was right! I spent some time taking pictures of the flowers, which was a huge highlight of the trip for me.

So much color! I could go back here every spring!

Kendall’s graduation was our last stop! He is so talented and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. I have no doubt in my mind he is going to do incredible things for God’s kingdom.

After his graduation, we went to a friend’s house and celebrated.

I have to point out the verse on this cake because Jeremiah 29:11 is so good. This verse has been such an important reminder to keep trusting God and knowing that He has me and I don’t have to worry about my future.

Kendall’s cousin, Lucas was there and it was actually prom night for him! So I snapped a few photos of him and his date. They were such a fun couple, as you can see from the photos. 😉

So, there you have it! Just a few highlights from our trip. We had so much fun and I could honestly go back and visit any one of the spots we went to, especially the Sushi resteraunt. 😉

Let me know in the comments if you have ever gone to Oregon and what you did while you were there. I enjoy hearing about others travel adventures! 🙂
